WHAT DO THOSE GRIDS IN THE WITNESS DRAWINGS MEAN???
The Witness is a game with over 500 puzzles. These puzzles are split over various areas such as entry, castle, temple, marsh, and others. Some areas can also be split further into subareas: puzzles grouped close together, puzzles that form a contiguous sequence or a common theme, puzzles that build on each other.
Each grid represents an area or a subarea. As I draw more pieces more symbols appear in the cells in the grid. The partitioning of the areas is according to THIS DATABASE. The cells match the puzzles as given in the guide. In the case of ambiguity (e.g. pictures in the guide showing multiple puzzles at once without any indication of order) the order is the order you would normally solve the puzzles in game. If that order cannot be decided then the order is decided based on THE ORDER I DID THE PUZZLES.
The singular dot denotes the puzzle in the art piece. All other symbols represent puzzles that I have drawn in the past. Drawings are not necessarily done in order of the puzzles but rather the grids represent my progress in this campaign.
